Two schools in Killarney are set to be transformed thanks to the funding announcement this week that will see the two schools get extensions to their current facilities.
Minister for Education and Kerry TD, Norma Foley, today announced that initial project approval has been granted for a major extension to Knockanes National School, Headford, Killarney and also confirmed approval to proceed to construction for Killarney Community College.
The new building project at Knockanes National School will provide the school community with a modern extension that will add two mainstream classrooms to the current campus. The extension will also include accommodation for a new special education teaching room.
